Biographies

Abigail Gard is a freshman Civil Engineering major in the 5-year program at Drexel University. She is originally from Glenside, Pennsylvania. On campus, she is a member of Society of Women Engineers, Drexel Club Field Hockey, and Action League. In the future, she hopes to design environmentally friendly and economically viable cities for developing countries.




Maddie Pelchat is a freshman Chemical Engineering major with a concentration in Biological Engineering at Drexel University. At Drexel, Maddie is a member of the Society of Women Engineers, Engineers Without Borders, and the Sierra Club. She also does research on algae as a means of bioremediation. Maddie hopes to one day develop different methods of bioremediation, or work on renewable energy.





Melody Wu is an Environmental Engineering major at Drexel University. On campus, she is a member of DrexelVeg, Philosophy Club, and Mock Trial.  She hopes to work at the intersection of research and policy in order to prevent and mitigate environmental issues such as ocean acidification, desertification, the Aral Sea and other disasters caused by unsustainable lifestyles and kleptocracies.

Josh Baboff is a Chemical Engineering major with a biological Engineering concentration at Drexel University. Off campus, he plays and studies jazz guitar, and at night he plays in Philadelphia. He hopes to work on improving environmental and biological systems to create a more sustainable, feasible environment for humanity.
